Simple.
Take it off the gun.
Drive the pin at the end out (where it locks down to the rear sight base) using a flat nosed punch. The one in the cleaning kit works well. Don't use a pointed punch or you will swell the pin out and it'll never seperate.
It will take brute force more than likely. However, keep the faith, it will come out.
