Rolling Block Resurection

My dream rifle for many years has been a Remington Rolling Block sporter. Sadly my hesitated attempt to purchase one from Lone Star came too late. I have a chance at an action that could be milled, polished and finished into one that I dream of. The stock and forend and barrel could be done later as funds could be saved. My question is what kind of cost would this be just for action job? I will not hold anyone to the quote but need some kind of ball park figure by a competent 'smith. I am certain Doug Turnbull can do this but I would pass out at his quote, or is this forever remain a dream rifle?

I am away from home and addresses, but look up the American Single Shot Rifle Association. Lots of enthusiasts and a number of smiths and vendors.

There are several good shops but John King, Kila Montana does very nice work.
Here is a Rolling Block as example but you might want something lighter. A No 5, maybe.

Turnbull does pretty "restorations" but I would go with King, Fewless, Baldwin, Shaver, etc for a working gun.

The Shiloh board mentions gunsmiths and other makes.
