Roll Punches

Does any one know if there are roll punches made for gunsmiths that do not mar up the pins on firearms? I use a rag between the punch and pin so that it does not mar the pin, but if I`m not careful the punch will go through the rag.
Are there better pin punches out there?
Are the pistol bench blocks made for the purpose of holding the frames while knocking out the pins?
 
I have this set of punches that I purchased from Brownells for around $30, and I've not had any problem with them damagning pins. However, that's the only set of punches I own so that I'm not sure if there is anything that makes them unique for gunsmithing or not.

I advocate their use in The AR-15 Complete Assembly Guide. Note that there are two types of roll pin punches. This type is for removing roll pins and for the final seating of roll pins.

The other type of roll pn punch are the Roll Pin Holders. These hold and align the roll pin so that you can get it much of the way into the hole with relative ease. Then, switching to the other type of punch allows final seating of the roll pin.

Thanks for the links. I did not know that roll pin punches are for roll pins only and the pin punches for the solid pins. Has anyone used the brass pins punches? Do they last a long time?
 
Brass punches last as long as the roll pins are resistant. Little resistance, they last a long time. Lots of resistance, they can be used up in the middle of a job. Just yesterday I used up a brass punch installing the front and rear sights on a Caspian M1911 slide. I use the Brownells punch set, which has replaceable tips.

I've an order in for some new tips as of today ;) .
