Rock River Arms

What can you tell me about Rock River Arms? They are manufacturing AR-15's for some people at ar15.com. Price looks good but I don't know about their quality. Thanks in advance for your help. J. Hall

I have one of those on order, for the price, I can't imagine getting a better gun! Did you look at the spec's and some of the threads on the gun? RRA has been making match grade 1911's for some time now, and their rifles are winning competitions, they're a quality outfit. Remember, Bushmaster used to be an unknown name before they became known. :)

I've heard alot of good things about RRA. I think one of the guys that used to be at Armalite is with Rock River now.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. I would like to build an AR on one of their lowers someday.

Got mine on order too...For $660.00 how can you go wrong...Since they are helping AR15.com with the Limited rifle i ordered my last bunch of parts from them...Parts looked as good as anybodies and price was better...Dick

From what I have heard, they have some of the best AR-15s around. I hear that all their custom work is top notch.

I've got one on the way too and I'll let you know how good it is when I get it. Hopefully in less than a month we'll have it!!!

I have a RRA DCM rifle coming right now. I've heard great things about them in the Highpower community. All parts are mil-spec according to RRA, so they should fit.

We should be getting the LEGP rifle in a couple of weeks. I'm one of those in the first batch to be run. Rock River builds a quality weapon or the Navy/Marines Rifle Team wouldn't be using them. It's my understanding the IL State Police also use them. Like other posters have said quality at a better price. Sounds like a winning combination to me.

aerod1, pay no attention to the prices on their website. Have your friendly FFL holder to get his pricing on the items. You will be duly pleased. If you don't have a friendly FFL holder, you should. (BTW, "friendly" means that you will pay dealer cost + $20 or $30 for the transfer.) Rock River doesn't care, as they still get their dealer price.

The chrome would theoretically keep corrosion down and also allow the barrel to last longer. Competition rifles aren't chrome lined, as most people believe that the chrome lining could not be applied evenly.

BTW, I have received my Rock River DCM rifle. John Holliger assembled the upper and did a few upgrades to the sights. The rifle is awesome. I haven't shot it yet, but there's really no reason why it won't shoot well, methinks.

The website for RRA is http://www.rockriverarms.com

HankL looks like you broke their website ;) Try it tomorrow.

Am almost finished with my RR DCM. Waiting for sling to arrive. Loaded 300 rounds of 223 & Going out to sight in this weekend! Built the lower myseelf and added the DCM upper - fits like a mated pair. Here is a pic.

an associate bought a 16" upper that wouldn't group to his liking and had no trouble with customer service. they said send it back. he did, they put a new bbl on it and he's been happy ever after. no problems myself.

Got my order in for the AR15.COM rifle too. I don't have any personal experience with RRA but they have very good reputation with their 1911 pistols. Can't wait to get my hands on the AR!
