Mark and Chuck Larson, brothers, own and run the company. Both are former employees of Armalite (Eagle Arms) and Les Baer. There components are the same as Baer (slides, frames, and barrels come from the same suppliers) and they build essentially the sames pistols for hundreds less. Unless the Baer name is worth a few hundred dollers, get the RRA.

I have a Rock River Arms bullseye gun that's worked extremely well for me. At the time I bought it (June 98), I only had to wait a month and I was able to pick the features I wanted (arched mainspring housing, 30 LPI checkering, forward slide serrations, etc.). Two weeks after picking it up I used it to place first in my class in the .45 Match at Camp Perry -- it doesn't get much better than that!

The model you're looking at isn't my cup of tea but I'm sure that the quality is first rate.
