Rock Island Armory TAC1911 review

I owned a RIA Tactical in .45 for a while. Very nice 1911 for the money for sure. Looked great, shot great, no problems what so ever. I wish i still had it honestly, only reason i sold it was to fund another 1911 project. Good review.

Very nice review Hunter. I just picked up an RIA TAC45, very nice shooter. Fit and function is great.
My only disappointment is the lack of white on the rear/ front sites. The rear has an inset of two dots with no color. Other than that it's a keeper !

Keep up the good work, Thank you for your service to our country!

Mike

Thank you all very much for the feedback.
I can agree on the absences of the white dots on the sights.

I appreciate that Mike, thank you sir.

That's pretty decent accuracy for a "low end" 1911. I like reviews that will give actual numbers for group size with a variety of ammo. I normally don't do that here in my very informal reviews.

KYJim, I agree. The RIA pistols are on the inexpensive side but this pistol did really good and better than some "high end" Government Models I have reviewed.
I expect the pistol would do a bit better in a Ransom Rest but in my opinion as at least an average shooter this are real world results.
It also surprises me in the differences of ammunition with FPS and accuracy.
Thank you for the input.
