Robar QR2

I am looking for a highly accurate and rugged rifle.
My philosophy has always been to buy quality and not quantity.

I would appreciate any comments on the Robar QR2 including the approximate price on this rifle.

The list on the base QR2 is $2450 plus FET(11%) If you want the folding stock($500) and the M14 magazine conversion($650) you are at $3600. Mine is a tackdriver with 100 meter groups averaging .430" for 3 shots with Federal 168 Match. The folder is neat but I probably would not order it again. I like the M14 mag conversion. Be aware that mags must be altered to work. The gun is built on a blueprinted Rem700 short action with a stainless, fluted heavy match barrel. It is my favorite rifle.

I also have a QR2, and although I don't have much experience with it as of yet, I think it is going to be a fine rifle. I can't speak well of the folding stock, but with the fixed stock I think it will prove to be a rugged rifle. I particularly like the relatively light weight (around 9.5 lbs with scope and M14 mag), the short 19" fluted barrell, and the NP3ed action. Robcon is right on with the pricing. In addition, if you want camo finish, I think it also adds 300+ to the price. Let us know your opinion if you get one. Regards.

Can you get the folding stock for an existing rifle? If so what is it called?

I am looking at putting it on a Ruger MK II Compact.
