robar np3 gun finish

I recently came across the robar np3 gun finish. It looks like its a nice looking finish and they state that its extremely durable, corrosion resistant, and lubricating. Bill Wilson of wilson combat highly recommends this finish on carry guns and rifles. Has anyone else done any research on this or have any experience with it. Robar also does custom work on handguns that seemed to be a good deal.

Their finish is some of the best in the business if not the best. I've only shot one gun that had a trigger job performed at Robar and it was one of the best I've shot. I had them do some other work on a gun for me it was done well.

I hate rust (and cleaning guns)

I had my premier all-custom Caspian 1911 finished with NP3 around 1997ish.

I still find it the best overall finish I've used myself, or seen used.

But I remain flexible.
That said, I wish to have other guns finished in NP3.

Most highly recommend.

NP3

I have a custom 1911 I built some 17 yrs ago and had the frame and internal parts NP3'd. The gun now has well over 50,000 rounds through it and it still looks and functions like the day I got it back from them after the NP3 was applied.

zero rust, though; similar high rd-ct

I admit the Caspian shows a bit of burnishing where it contacts the holsters it slides in and out of; BFD.

ROBAR NP3

Have nothing but high praise for the company in general, excellent customer service, & the quality of this finish is superb in all aspects. Yes it is expensive, but you will not find anything any better in the refinishing business.
