Does anyone know of a company making the 220 gr conical (.454 or .457) for ROA??? I've found 190 gr but would like heavier. Per Ruger diameter can be .454 or .457 when shooting this type bullet??? BUT ball must be .457. Thanks

I just picked up a used Lee mold and cast my own, they're not as accurate as the ball though. Veral Smith of LBT custom makes a flat nose that works as good as a ball in the ROA, but his molds aren't cheap, but they are the best molds you'll find anywhere, a real dream to cast with.

Have you looked into LEE's #456-220-1R it's a conical 220 gr conical designed for the ROA. Mine are right on 220 grains as cast. Just cast, lube and shoot.

I suspect there are few pre cast bullets for the ROA. The commercial casters may assume, if you're going to the trouble of shooting a BPCB, then you'll cast your own, too.

If you're new to using bullets in your ROA, you'll soon find the factory front site blade is too short. It's a relatively simple swap to install a 0.10" taller Ruger blade.
