I'd use darker thread than the yellow/gold. An orange would be MUCH more visible against that background.

Col. Tomb, No offence meant, but I have never liked using our flag as a background, piece of clothing, patch on rear pocket of blue jeans, etc. That said ,I have defended your right to do so, and will continue to do so. I would love to have your patch if you change the background. Perhaps you could use a flag somewhere on the patch with no lettering over it? Just my humble opinion, FWIW. Ray
