Reports from rec.guns and attackcartoons.com indicate that Mark Penman, the author of the Laissez Firearm web site, recently took his own life. Mark posted infrequently to TFL's shotgun forum under the user name "laissezfirearm".
I referred many a person to Mark's excellent page which contained good information on Surefire lights and the Beretta 1201 FP semi-automatic shotgun. In fact, my best friend bought a Beretta 1201 FP after reading Mark's review.
Most recently, you may recall that Mark performed some research for TFLers on the shotgun forum by testing Estate buckshot and posting the resuts thereof.
