Rings and Base - Browning A Bolt

I'm replacing the scope on my 300 Win Browning White Gold Medallion A Bolt. I'm removing a Nikon Monarch which has been great over the years. It's being replaced with a Vortex Viper HS, 30mm tube. My dilemma is which rings and base to use. The Leupold 2 piece with front dovetail and rear screw mount are ok, however the rear screws have had to have multiple applications of loctite, they just won't stay tight and that causes the scope to move side to side.

Being that its the White Gold Medallion I'm not so sure I want to go too tactical.

So, the options are:
Leupold dual dove tail
Weaver style base with Warne rings, (or similar)
Talley integral base and ring
Nightforce 1 piece rail with Pictinny rail and rings.
DNZ

Any recommendations?

I've used Leupold DD, Talley LWT mounts, and Weaver style bases and rings and all are solid ways to mount a scope. Nightforce is just not the way to go on your rifle and just because they are expensive doesn't mean they will do anything better. I've never used DNZ but hear good things.

If you go with the Weaver style bases find a good steel set, Leupold, Burris, Wanre, and other make them. I then prefer the Leupold PRW rings over Warne as the latter is just heavy. Lately my favorite mounts have been the Talley LWT's.

Your Talley and DNZ options remove one mechanical joint in the system. I've used DNZ's a good bit. In fact on my hunting rifles, that is all that I use anymore. I just replaced a set of Leupold's on a Winchester M70 Super Grade 7mmRM with the Talley integral, much nicer and more secure set up IMO. I've always had a dislike and distrust with those DD rings.

It's between the Talley's ring with integral base and the DNZ. In my opinion the Talley's look a little more traditional and have two screws per side of the ring. There is not really much alignment at all as far as the bases are concerned as they bolt in to the same holes.

The DNZ would also screw in to the same holes with no alignment. Would the DNZ Game Reaper with one screw per side hold as well as the Talleys with 2 per side? Do the connected rings really add much as far as rigidity? Either way its mounted and loctite applied to the same 4 screws on the action, neither mount have the gap between the base and ring. Both mounts will be lapped.

The Talley's state they are machine from 7000 series aluminum, could this be 7075 T6? The DNZ states "top grade" aluminum.

On my benchrest (300 Win. 416 B) rifles I use a direct mount and have never used a one piece base and rings.

Way too much analysis? Does any of the matter as I will shoot it 4 times a year, 3 to sight it in before the hunt and once at my beer bottle while huntin.

The Leupold 2 piece with front dovetail and rear screw mount are ok

In my opinion those are the worst rings ever made.

My vote is for the Talley one piece rings I have had them on a rifle for several years and have yet to ever have to re zero the rifle.

A few years ago I bought an X-Bolt and used Talley one piece rings. It's by far the best system I've used. Easy install, uncluttered, rock solid and light. I'll never use anything else.

Would the DNZ Game Reaper with one screw per side hold as well as the Talleys with 2 per side?

Yes, the DNZ's have longer screws than the others, you have the same or more total thread count in contacts. Don't use Loctite in the ring threads, just torque them down.
