Rimfire Scout??

With the much spirited debate here about the Scout rifle concept, I am thinking about building a rimfire scout and am soliciting opinions, input and product thoughts from y'all.

Why a 22 Scout? Well, I’ve always thought that a low power/fast acquisition scope is great for close in shooting (less than 100 yards). Most of my 22 shooting (both LR & mag) are from about 10 to 75 yards out. The shooting is mostly plinking, rabbits and squirrels – close in, fast, accurate and firepower.

I am thinking about a 10/22 with the standard scout features:

- forward mount Leupold scout scope
- ghost ring sights
- McMillian synthetic stock
- Ching sling
- Volquartsen trigger housing, bolt release, mag release, etc.

Oh, the trick part I am thinking about is a SWT titanium suppressor (light, quiet and allows the ammo to control the velocity). I think the suppressor will be a godsend because I shoot a lot of rounds through a 22 and would not have to be burdened with hearing protection in the field. Because it’s a 10/22, I could also swap out with a Volquartsen THM carbon fiber barrel if I wanted to transport across state lines or somewhere where a suppressor is judged evil.

The part I need some help on is the sighting system – what forward mount and ghost ring setup to use? I can’t drill and tap a weaver rail to the suppressor because of the suppressor internals. Would an Ashley scout rail work? What about Ashley ghostring sights? How would I mount them to the aluminum receiver and titanium barrel?

What do guys think? Other suggestions or ideas??
