I bought a rifled choke tube for my 12 and 20 ga.. What is the best type of slug to use with this set-up?

There's no simple answer here. Each barrel is a law unto itself as to which slug is most accurate.
Sabot slugs are best in fully rifled barrels. The older Forster "Rifled" slugs and the various Brenekkes are for smoothbores and rifled choke tubes.
I use one in my basic slug shooter. With the right slug and good bench technique,it prints into 4" at 100 yards. And there's been plenty of venison taken with that.
In your shoes, I'd buy some 5 packs and bench them. Once a best choice is obvious, buy lots of that, preferably from the same lot.

That's good advise; once you find out what it likes, buy enough to check your zero and hunt for several years. I used to always end up with 3-4 rounds of stuff I can't find any more.
Remington Copper Solid sabots can be very accurate; try Remington Buckhammer if you want to spend a bit less $
Do you have rifle sights on both of them?

I've two "Serious" 870s I use for HD and hunting. One has an 18" chokeless barrel, the other a Remchoked 20" barrel with a rifled tube when I slug hunt.
Otherwise, both are set up the same with peeps, mag extensions and great triggers..
Benched, the tubed one is about an inch tighter at 100 yards.
That's with KO Brenekkes.YMMV.
BTW, both groups showed a bit of keyholing,even though they were excellent otherwise. The tighter one showed less.

It doesn't. It had the IC choke first. I forget the specs, but it wasn't that good, leading me to get the rifled tube. Same with Mod. There,another slug beat the leader.
Slug shooting has a touch of the arcane. Some things happen that do not make sense.
Two of the tightest slug groups I ever saw were made with a Model 97 with a long barrel and Full choke. Cloverleafs....
