M mtnboomer New member May 2, 2005 #2 A rifled barrel/choke will scatter shot over 3 counties - very poor patterns. A rifled barrel or choke is used for saboted slugs. There should be little or no constriction in a rifled choke.

M mtnboomer New member May 3, 2005 #4 No, a "traditional" slug is supposed to be fired from a smooth-bore. I would suggest using a Modified Cylinder choke for better accuracy.
