anyone know of a sling that is made to go on a swivel stud for the front and tie on the back. im sure there out there just wondering if anyone knows any good one for sure. thanks.

I'm sure you could make one, but why would you want to tie it. If you don't have a rear stud, you can easily add one yourself.

ya, i went online and looked, just cant tell by the pics or the disription on them if the for sure have a way to put on stud for one end and a choker on the other. but ya i think ill just as someone at midway to make sure its what i want. its going on a Savage 110ba 338 lapua. taking it hunting and gunna want something to lug it around.

thanks Jim, for the link. i was on there website. i guess i just didnt see that one, but that is exactly what im looking for. thanks.

It's very hard to tell from a photo online what you will get in a sling. It's hard to tell even from looking at the package at the store... I've been shopping for slings for 6 months (for 3 different rifles) and, oddly enough, wound up with 3 USGI cotton web slings.

It also depends on how you are going to use it... just to carry your rifle, or do you plan on using it when shooting? (...and do you really know how to use a sling? :D ) This doesn't even mention all the 1-, 2- and 3-point tatical slings (which, given your rifle, I doubt you are interested in.)

I'll also mention that, for example, my AR-15 has a sling mount on the front sight, I mounted a QD stud in the forearm. For prone shooting it's far easier to sling up and then lock into the QD than trying to sling up with the sling already attached to the rifle...

Yep, when all else fails and you can't find or figure out what you want.... just buy a cheap GI cotton web sling or one of the black ballistic nylon ones like them...

some of these new fangled tactical thingys they sell for ARs and such just confuse the bejeebers out of me... I expect all I end up with is something that has me all tied and tangled up..

for hunting you want something that allows you to carry easy will walking through the brush and if possible you can use as a handy sling when sighting in.

that sure sounds like a nice cotton GI sling to me.

I'm still not understanding the need for the choker on the butt end. What is wrong with using a swivel stud?
