i have some rifle shells, they have the date of 1942 on the bottom of the brass case along with what looks to be .......toc....7.9 .......fs......1942..... i am trying to find out what kind of rifle these go to ....can you help me.....the toc part is alittle bit hard to read so i guessing that this is what it says...thanks......the cartridges are held in a pack of four which they slide into ,it is made of brass.... i guess it would be called a brass clip ,,,for easier handling......any info woul help.....

Definitely Turkish 8mm Mauser ammo, made in 1942 for use in their 8mm bolt-actions; the "o" in "ToC" is actually a star over a crescent.

"are they worth anything"

Not really. Maybe 50 cents to a dollar each if you were to try to sell them at a cartridge show.

I've got 800rounds on clips and bandoliers that I paid 7 cents apiece for, I wish they wee worth 50 cents each...
