Rifle .270

My opinion? No... unless you have some physical condition that dictates that you keep recoil to non-existent levels.
.270's just don't kick all that bad, in a normal sized rifle.

nope if the recoil is to much get a nice recoil pad, limb saver.
The noise that thing makes is sick.:(

Recoil from my 270 has never been a problem for me and I have bad shoulders. I would consider it a great round to learn to handle recoil for someone wanting to move up to shoulder cannons. It has enough that you have to deal with it but not so much that it causes a permanent flinch problem the first day. I hunt with mine and develop loads, but otherwise if I want to do a lot of practice I shoot my 17HMR or 223, accurate and I can work on my shooting technique without recoil to deal with.

Heck no, don't ever put one of those things on a hunting rifle, and you definately don't need it on a .270, and if you do, then I suggest you trade the rifle off for a 25-06 and shoot 100gr bullets as it will kick some less then the .270 and kill just as well, at least for deer sized game, but I like the .270, as well as the 25-06 for this class of rifle power.

Not really man, it would definetly ruin a "second shot"..... (because of the increase of volume) and it would'nt really help the otherwise decent recoil of the .270 win.
