What's the purpose of the top serrations on Baby Eagle and EAA slides?

The ribs are to reduce glare between the front and rear sights. Some like the ribs and some, like me, don't.

I dont mind the top serrations..if you shoot in daylight, they help
reduce the glare given off by reflected sunlight..helping your ability to sight in your target. Without additional fatigue on your eyes......Shoot well
