RI-CCW permits are hard to get, unless the applicant has a "reason" deemed good enough in the eyes of the RI A.G. - Patrick Lynch, who is anti-gun, BTW.
If anyone would like to make the attempt, they should contact one of the RI gun clubs, like Pine Tree in Foster ( http://www.pinetreegunclub.org/ ), and go through the CCW qualification course (shooting).
After shooting an acceptable score, take that certification, along with a set of passport-type photos & fingerprints and an application blank to the A.G.'s office in Providence, and wait.............
Actually, the range certification officer should have all materials & explaination available for applicants.
