With pistols being more popular than ever, just about every character on TV who carries a firearm, carries some type of pistol. I can think of only two regular current television characters who carry revolvers:<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI> that Lt. Steve Sloan character played by Barry Van Dyke
<LI> that Andy character on NYPD Blue</UL>Can anyone think of other CURRENT regular television characters who carry a revolver?

Lieutenant Van Buren's (S. Epatha Merkson) on Law & Order carries a snubbie .38 S&W. You only occasionally see it, but it figured prominently in an episode a couple of years ago.

Officer Barbrady on South Park carries a revolver, too. :)
