Revolver speed shooting

Jerry Miculek, shooting a customized S&W Performance Center wheelgun. In the eight-shot sequences, he uses a 627, the eight-shot .357 Magnum. He does the six-shot-reload-six-shot sequence with a 625, which is a six-shot .45ACP. Both guns eat from full-moon clips.

Shame on any of you here that peruse this fine Revolver section of the Forum, and can't identify The Wheelman himself, Jerry Miculek. (He pronounces that last name "Mitch uh leck", btw. That question seems to come up a lot, so thought I'd preempt it.) :)

Currently the best DA revolver shooter on the planet. At least the best one currently competing.

And, a real down-to-earth nice guy as well.

The gun, although technically a custom gun, is not specially modified. He prefers a serrated trigger, I believe he uses his own grip design, and there has probably been some other minor work done on it.

The PC 627 V-comp that Jerry Miculek is using comes with the wood grips he designed. Unfortunately, I cannot use those grips and have gone to a Hogue rubber grip. Jerry's hands are very meaty and my skinny large hands leave a void when trying to grip.

Jerry and the records he creates are featured on segments of ShootingUSA and American Shooter hosted by Jim Scouten.

If you are in the San Luis Obispo, CA area in June you can attend the International Revolver Championship. Jerry Miculek just about owns the top slot on that match and usually is asked by local media to display his speed for interviews.

I second the comment that he is one very cordial and lay back person, though I was extremely tense when functioning as match official when he and other top shooters were shooting my stage. They may or may not be good natured about your fluffs, but I am still nervous about doing anything to break their focus. Very intense.
