Revolver Grips

Well since I'm new to Revolver Shooting....I grew up in the semi-auto generation...What are some different manufactuers of quality Revolver Grips out there.

I'm looking for custom grips or anything that will help to keep the sting out of my hands when shooting hot magnum loads..

Of course, any suggestions will help. :D

I hate rubber grips. I think they are ugly, they stick to clothes and they just look WRONG on a classy revolver. That being said, all my .357's, 41 mags and 44 mags have some rubber grips on them or my hand would be hurting for a week after shooting it. What gun do you have? A K or N frame Smith .357 can shoot alot of 38's without beating your hand, a .44 mag will shoot .44 specials all day long. Just because the revolver CAN shoot big boomers doesn't mean ya gotta.

I put a Hogue rubber grip on my 454. Designed to take some of the recoil out. And it helps alot. There is also pachmyr grips no personal experience. but its another brand for you.

I like the look of wood, but for all practical purpose's its hard to beat the comfort of a good hogue or pacmayer (sp?) grip. I have the pac' on my model 19 (still have the wood grips, dont worry) and my 686P 6" came with Hogues on it. Both are very comfortable.

I also put a set of Hogues on my 2" SP101 for dealing with some of my hotter mag' loads... really does help.

I found the 'Davis' grip very good. Rubber, with a long handle and flat base- good for prone shooting. Also only one finger slot - no need to try to fit the provided grip slots. About $35 - I have 4 of them. Two on 686's one on a M66 and one on a M16 (32 H&R Magnum).
