I am still shaping and fitting a pair of S&W N frames. One pair in maple. I have one set of red oak. I have one ivory K frame set. I scored a few Colt Trooper MKIII take-offs recently for $15.00 and one set of Colt round butt Lawman grips. My formerly owned Rugers had Rosewood and ivory engraved grips. Vaquero 44s with fancy grips and floral leather are so nice.
Sorry for the autopistols, but here are 3 of my favorites. Clockwise from the top, the Smit 645 is sporting grips custom made to my hand by Tucson Custom Grips, the Smith 19's rosewood grips are by Art Jewel Enterprises, and the Chas Daly is wearing Pachmyar's American Legend grips.
The neat thing about posting pix of the grips is that it is a window to see what fits THAT person's hand.
Grips are kinda like calibers/cartridges: they have to be comfortable to the shooter/owner of that gun.
I've found that HOGUE grips and even their riflestocks and shotgun stock will fit my particular needs.
It's great that there are so many choices for us all.
Nice pix, Gentlemen!
These are the factory grips on mine. They fit my hand great and look good too, so I figure why change them? I just wish I could say the same about all my guns and their grips.
Actually, they are Eagle grips I found a deal on. It took me forever to find a nice set fot a Colt V frame because I'm cheap. Glad you like 'em!
I almost forgot about my little pocket gun. These are one off grips that were cut down by the old retired cop who sold me this revolver. I have yet to find a J frame grip that works better. I figure that makes it a "special".
My wife likes these grips. I keep them on the gun for her.
