Revolver Extractor Pins

One of the pins on my S&W 19-6 has come loose ive heard these pins arent even really necessary if they are necessary how hard are they to replace

They are necessary as they take the strain of turning the cylinder off the cylinder center pin, and I recommend you replace the missing one. Gun Parts Corp (www.gunpartscorp.com) has them at $1.25 or they can easily be made from any steel wire of the right diameter.

They are a loose drive fit and easily installed; just use a small punch to drive the pin through the hole in the extractor.

thanks i put the loose one back in with some blue loctite if its doesnt hold ill replace it
