Hey guys, just got my new S&W 610 revolver for sompetition.

it came with hoge rubber finger groves.

i have seen the miculek competitiong grips, what do you guys think?

are there any better options? the main purpose of the revolver is USPSA and IDPA competition.

thanks in advance!

JUST ME

I prefer Pachmayr Decelerators; they allow me a very high grip and the finger grooves help tuck my hand up high and tight.

I used the Miculek grips for over a year on my 625, but have just recently changed to the Hogue round butt finger groove rubber grip--just like the one that came on the gun, but round butt. It's very nearly identical in dimension and shape to the Miculek grip, but with finger grooves and stickier. The wood grips are prettier, but changing to these resulted in much better control with IPSC major loads, and better consistency overall--the gun doesn't climb through my grip as much.

Downsides? It slowed my reload some, as the rubber doesn't slip around as much getting back to shooting position, and I have to think about it more. After some practice, though, I'm back under 2 seconds shot to shot, so it'll work OK.

Worth a try--cost me $20 bucks as opposed to the much spendier miculeks.
