Return of the Sick, Lame & Lazy

As a lot of you know, I've been out sick with the Shingles since the 6th of April.
Thanks to ALL for the "Get Well" wishes, there were greatly appreciated.
For those of you that don't know….the shingles is caused by the same virus
that causes Chickenpox, it seems the chickenpox virus lies dormant in your
body for some time until it is triggered in folks usually over 50. Wonder if the
stress of losing my dog Pal could have triggered it? I don't know, but I do know
that it's something I would not wish on anyone, it's unbelievably painful.

While I was out sick, my brother-in-law shipped a new Jindo puppy to me from
Baltimore. I got him when he was 8 weeks old, he's a little mischievous ball
of fur with sharp teeth…..I have the scratched hands to prove it. :) I also have a
3 year old bitch Jindo that thinks she is the puppy's mommy…It's great! :)

Again…..thanks guy's for all your well wishes for my recovery. The appreciation
Is more than you will ever know.

About damn time you reported back in, soldier! Get yer toothbrush and get ta work on them heads!

Seriously, DorGunr, welcome back. :)

Congratulations on your recovery and your new puppy.

My brother went to the pound last week and got himself a new pup. Picked him up and the airport and saw him with a lost look on his face (I had a loaner car which he naturally did not recognize). The other thing I immediately noticed was a tiny puppy in his arms.

Welcome back and yes stress is the main cause for shingles.

Welcome back, I'm glad you are over the Shingles. I had it once, mine passed "Shingles" and made it all the way to "Siding."

Jim V you said:
"I had it once, mine passed "Shingles" and made it all the way to "Siding.""
I guess mine was "Siding" also since it was on my left side. :)
My Doctor told me that I had the most severe case that he had ever seen.
Not a fun thing to have, is it? I'm still taking two pain pills a day (morphine). :(

DorGunR, It was a while back and just thinking about it hurts.

DorGunR, glad to have you back.

I'm a shingles survivor, too - before I was 30, which is unusual. The good news is there is a 90 percent chance that you will never have another attack.

Shingles - a triple-distilled taste of hell.

Welcome back, guy. It's always a good time when a bud gets back from sick bay, and the tribe can always use another good dawg :) :) :).
