resetting the tasco super-sniper scope

I have the tasco super-sniper scope 10x42. Once I zero
the rifle, am I supposed to 'reset' the knobs to
zero somehow? I think there are little screws or something,
is this why they are there? If so, what is the
procedure and what do I need to be aware of so I
don't completely screw the whole thing up? Thanks...

You're not "supposed" to reset the knobs. If you'd prefer to have the knob read "0", for your convenience in keeping up with your clicks, then you can loosen the screws and reset the knob to "0".

If you want the knobs to read "Zero" at your zero range, sight in the scope, then loosen all 3 set screws around the top of the turret, pull the cover straight up off the turret, then line up the "0" with the vertical scale, and push it back on. Make sure to get it all the way down, and then immediately count the vertical hash marks up from the bottom of the scale, as there are several revolutions where "0" lines up on the scale.

Your zero may be, for example, three hash marks up from the bottom.
