rereaming AR chamber

Scratch

I need to have a barrel rereamed. It will hardly load factory rounds (sometimes)and it doesn't at all like my reloads. Is it more cost effective to buy a new barrel or have this one rereamed to standard NATO chamber.
Is reaming a barrel something I could do myself? what is involved, what tools would I need and where could I get them?
Thanks,
I appreciate the help

Scratch, if I understand correctly you have a match chamber. The only way to do this without giving yourself a headspace problem is to set the barrel back one full thread and rechamber. You need a lathe. I'd recommend letting a gunsmith do this for you; preferably me:-) It isn't as expensive as you might think and I have all the tools and equipment to do it properly. You can e-mail me if you like. George
