First time out!
I shot fifty rounds of off the shelf and 110 rounds of reloads. I had one FTE while using store bought ammo but all else ran smoothly.
When I concentrated I could get a decent group (six inches) at seven yards.
The plastic dot in the right side of the rear sight jumped out and disappeared. (See picture link below) I put a dab of white model paint in there and it works just fine, in fact the right side is brighter now making me wonder if I can get the plastic out of the left side and paint it too.
Second time out!
I did fifty rounds of off the shelf and sixty rounds of reloads. (Of special note the reloads noted here and above all used the same Winchester primers.) I stopped after the sixty rounds of reloads as I was having multiple FTF.
Here is the weird thing. I pulled the trigger on some of the FTF bullets 3 and four times. They showed only a very light off center dent in the primer. Also weird, after some reload FTFs I shot some off the shelf and they ran fine. Then I put the SAME reloads back in the gun (remember they'd all been struck at least twice) and those reloads ran fine. What the heck? These reloads that didn't fire after three or four hits now run fine?????
Of note, watching the hammer on the FTF reloads it seemed like it wasn't coming all the way back in DA. But changing to SA didn't help.
Also of note, racking the slide after the FTF was difficult. Needed much more force to work it. (All these reloads fit in the 380 case gauge just fine.)
So I'm mystified.
I think I'll call customer service and see what they say.
Anyway my initial impressions of this gun were fine. Maybe I have a lemon. We'll see.
