MMM v TRTeam in Denver today

It was a perfect day to scream at socalists. About 70 degrees and a light breeze. About 600 Patriots met at Civic Center Park in Denver. We had the commie mommies surrounded.

The ampitheater in the park is about 100 feet from the sidewalk. The sheeple were allowed access to the park. The Politically incorrect types (us) were kept on the sidewalk by the police. The Denver PD were very polite to us. But we had to stay out of the park.

No problem. Radio Shack loves the TRT. We have lots of shiny new bullhorns. We have repeatedly challenged SAFE to debate us on radio or TV. They refuse. We chanted "why won't SAFE debate" loudly and repeatedly when SAFE co-founder Arnie Grossman tried to speak. He slithered away. We shouted the guy out of his event. Way cool.

The SAS ralley in city park went well. 300 patriots showed up. I wish I could have done both events.

the local media has been about even in their reporting of both events. the post reporter took down my daughter's speech and supposedly is going to use parts of it in mondays story. let's see if what he told my kid is what he will print.

All reports say your kid done real good. You should be very proud of her. I know The Wife is, as am I.

After helping to set up the SAS event, I was then at the TRT demo so didn't get to see SAS' rally.

Hope to view a tape shortly.

thanks in todays denver post they actually gave us a favorable write up. and to know that my daughter is actually involved in something instead of sitting around the house sitting on her ass complaining there is nothing to do, is actively doing something. and kusa ch9 news at 10pm even ran the interview they did with her.
i am glad however that she has only 1 more week of school because i am sure the anti faction would try and get her thrown out of school for her "views"
now i wonder how long it will be b-4 the feds come to our door looking for "subversives"???
 
I was at the SAS rally (dad and i took turns on the 'don't tread on me" flag) and i have to say I was impressed. Good speakers.. more of a "parade" atmosphere than the hijinks at civic center park. i understand the use of "geurilla theatre" to get our point across.. but it seems like some of these tactics are backfiring. don't want the soccor moms thinking we are all a bunch of red necks in camoflauge with bad manners. (even thougb i really did like the TRT t-shirts)

Image DOES make an impression. The "irony" of dressing up like JBT's is lost to the soccer moms.. they aren't on the same page.

So two recommendations:

bring YOUR family to the rallies and don't use language you wouldn't in front of your children. leave the cammies at home and wear a tie.

We are not extremists. we are doctors and lawyers and cops and artists and managers and craftsmen and free thinkers. we don't all wear camo to work. lets try 'business casual" for a change.

Great turn outs folks.. glad to have been a part of it.. i'm donating to the SAS today!

About guerilla tactics. Go for it, they do. Part of it is to get a message across. The other part is to entertain your troops and boost morale. The MMMers may not get the cover photo on the jacket of the novel "Unintended Consequences" but we do.

Yesterday in Phoenix my buddy and I rented a 14 foot U-Haul panel truck and wrapped it in black plastic and applied white paint for sloganeering. We drove it around and around the small 2.5 acre Patriots Square Park where the MMMers were. It was a big hit with our folks causing them to get second and third winds in the 100 degree desert heat. "Crooks 4 Gun Control" on the MMMer park side and "RKBA [female sign]" on the street side with "Honk 4 Freedom" on the rear. WE got it. And WE will be back.

You would be surprised to hear that in the weeks preceding the march, some gunnies told us that the truck idea would backfire. Renting a U-Haul (or Ryder truck) would bring images of the Oklahoma City bombing.

None of the nay-sayer showed for the counter demonstration and wouldn't have even if the truck was not present.

I hope you counter demonstrations got lots of phone numbers and e-mails so that you can keep in contact. I suggest you schedule a meeting for next month at some hotel room or coffee shop to make sure these Patriots do not evaporate on you. Call a meeting. Have agenda items. Plan your next event. Make THEM do the counter demonstration and see how much press THEY generate. Maybe a Bill of Rights DAY Parade on December 15th (for those of you in the southern latitudes). Or schedule a BoR debate with the gunphobes indoors or outdoors. The news will be that they won't show. Have your rally anyway.

Use the rally(s) to sign on more members to your new LOCAL pro-individual-rights group.

Cindy - another thanks for the pictures. The one showing the kid with "My mother's ARMS keep me safe" was priceless!
