I own over 15 S & W revolvers. I have done minor action work, including spring kits on most of them. The one dirty deed I have trouble with is replacing the rebound slide and spring. I have one of the Brownwlls tools for this job, but it frequently doesn't work well. I can get one back in one try, and the next gun takes two hours as the spring slips off to one side or the other. I would appreciate the more gifted here to help me find a better way to get that spring behind the #%@& frame stud. My wife would also appreciate it as she has to live with me after one of the before mentioned two hour sessions. It is not pretty.
I humbly await your instruction.
