Replacing front sights

I've got several BP revolvers. Most all of 'em shoot low and not exactly to point of aim. There are dozens of different heights and style front sights which fit into a 3/8 inch dovetail. Williams, Marble's and Lyman all make bead, ramp and blade varieties. I was thinking a bead sight might be really cool.

( I know, not SASS legal, but so what...)

My problem is, my local gunsmith is a P.I.A.

He wants way too much money just to cut the dang dovetail. Has anyone had any good experiance with a gunsmith who can do this job for a reasonable amount of money and has a decent turnaround time ?

I might do two or three pistols at once if the price was not too high.

Any feedback/recommendations are most welcome.

Thanks All

mine shoot high

I have a Ruger Old Army and pretty new a Rogers and Spencer. Both shoot rediculous high. This is something that bothered me since I owned them. Short of glueing something on the front sight I have not found anything I can do. You say yours shoot low. That would be easy to fix, just file down the front sight and it will come up. When they shoot high, this is a pain!
