Hello
I recently took my old Marlin and Glenfield Model 20 bolt action out of the safe in order to refinish the stock and I noticed that the cartridge guide spring was broken and the bolt would not close.
I just order a couple replacement cartridge guide springs, but I'm not sure if I will have to remove the barrel or if I can just pop the broken spring out and pop in the new one. It was my first gun and I hate the fact of having any gun that doesn't function, but I'd really like to avoid having to send it to a smith if I can do it myself.
TIA
