replacement hammer for old model 60

since I retired my bobbed model 60 for a 442, I was thinking of putting back the standard hammer for plinking. What's my best course for finding one? The factory or does brownell or some aftermarket place stock them....thaks
 
It may simply drop in, or you may need a smith to do some fine tuning.

Each gun and part is an individual with a personality of its own, and sometimes interchangable parts.... aren't.
 
Not DIY

If you have good gunsmith skills you can probably put it in yourself... otherwise my advice is to send it to S&W and let them install the new part.

Probably cheaper in the long run, and you can get a full tune up at the same time.

And you get factory warranty.

Brownells stock new S&W parts. Best to call and tell them what you want rather than try to figure out the numbers yourself..
