Rephrase: Action Direct Defender vs. Thunderwear, etc.

Greetings all,
Sorry to do this, but my other q. was poorly phrased. I'm interested in comparing the Action Direct "Defender" model with other, similar holsters which are self-supporting waist bands on the body, can be put on _over_ a tucked shirt, but under the trousers. Basically, I'm looking for a "reach under beltline between shirt and trousers and draw". Seems the best way to combine readily available (no reaching for ankles, unbuttoning shirt, etc.), with conservative attire. The butt of the gun being below the beltline, out of sight, unlike most IWBs which require either that you untuck to draw, or stay untucked to grab a grip sticking up past your belt.
That clarified, any advice for such a creature in which to carry a compact 1911 or snub revolver appreciated. Forgive the repitition, and take care all,

I can't comment on the Action Direct Defender, but I frequently use Thunderwear carry for a J-frame .38. I have found this a good solution for the type of carry you described. Some tricks I have found to pull it off: 1) pleated pants work better; 2) The grip can be best concealed if it rides high just behind the waistline where the belt can conceal it; and 3) I wear a pager on my belt just to the right of the pistol butt, and this hides the bulge there a little bit. I've found that, though somewhat uncomfortable at first, I can get used to it and even getting in and out of cars is easy. I've found any forward position other than front and center to be uncomfortable because the front of the pistol hits my leg when I sit down. As with all carry methods, preferences are highly individual, and you'll probably need to experiment a bit, YMMV, etc. Best wishes.

I ordered an Action Direct and am well pleased. I considered Thunderwear, but the Action Direct allows the gun to be worn in different spots around the waist. I dont think everyone has the same comfort spot and the Action Direct allows each person to choose. I carry a PPK and have seriously forgotten it was there. Highly reccommend

Some people find the action direct bellyband the cat's meow, it didn't work for me. Thunderwear is ok for a very small (Kahr MK9?) pistol, otherwise some folks may think you are happier than usual to see them. I just ordered Gunslinger's band and look forward to trying it.
