removing finish

I have a slide that needs refinishing. I also have half a can of Brownells Teflon/Moly bake on to do it. What I do not have is a clue about removing the old facory laquer finish. Dad has an air compressor. What other equipment would I need to bead blast the thing? Are there chemicals that will take it off without poisoning me severely? Dremel tool?

I too would go with the bead blasting. Just mask off the the machind areas before blasting it. John K.
