remmy 1100 scope mount question

I pretty much know the answer, just looking for validation, I guess, but to install a scope mount which mounts on replacement receiver pins I just push/hammer out the old ones, right? It doesn't appear that the stock pins are screwed in. Any tricks or tips?

If your 1100 is like mine, the trigger plate pins have dimples to receive a punch. Put your punch in the dimple and tap away -- you may hear/feel a click as the pin releases from its retention. Having the hammer cocked and the safety engaged may avoid difficulties should you disturb the trigger assembly.
