Remington's new "Ultimate Home Defense" ammo

Has anyone had any experience with this?

According to Remington's website, the specs are identical to their Golden Saber line. What makes this HD new and improved?

Remington has sold its premium handgun ammo in 25 round boxes for years. This stuff is priced pretty much the same as Golden Saber. There could be some difference in the bullet, but I haven't had a chance to compare them.

Probably new and improved, for Remington, price!!!
Oh, don't be such a smidge, you get a lot prettier box for the money now.

On the other hand my ammo is Fiocchi, Blazer, white box, etc. or home rolled. I am way to cheap to buy that primo stuff and my targets don't seem to notice the difference. :D

They are "seconds" or whatever you want to call them. Basically, they are Golden Sabers that don't have the serrations cut as well or kinda roughed on the tips. There's a pic floating around showing them side by side.
I can't recall if it was on here or THR. I'll look around later and see if I can
find a link. If someone else wants to do it before I get around to it, feel free.

I'm just cheap enough to use the old boxes you can find at the range to house my reloads. Try to get the most expensive boxes, then everyone at my next visit will think I'm a big spender......LOL

after looking at the pic on ar15 forum, I'd have to concur that they're selling off piles of golden saber's that didn't meet the QC standard.

they look identical in construction, but the HD's lack the GS's clean edges.

I'd call marekting ploy on it, I'd bet they function just as well, maybe with a slight loss in accuracy.
