OK, I stopped in a local store last night and they had a used remington wingmaster slug barrel for sale, smoothbore. THe unusual thing is that it had a remchoke choke tube in the end. Anyone ever seen one like this? I didn't know they made 'em with choke tubes.

The barrel was ment for both rifled slugs and turkey loads.

If it was less than $100 and you felt that you needed it you should buy it because most people never get rid of them and they are hard to come by.

You can put a rifled choke tube in it - but that is not reccomended for rifled slugs.

I think they came out with those before the fully rifled barrel and offered it in a combo for the 870 and 1187. I don't know why you can't shoot rifled slugs through it with a rifled choke tube. I shoot rifled slugs through both my 870 and 1187 fully rifled slug barrels and I'm good out to 135 yrds. You will however have more lead build up in the barrel but that the reason the clean them.
