Remington website info on 700 PSS & LTR

After poking around for a while I found what appears to be the only public info on the remington website about the 700 PSS & LTR.

Check it out at the Remington support section.

As an aside, I also found this link to Winchester Ammunition's Law Enforcement page. Their .308 sniper round looks pretty good.

I've shot the Ballistic Tip ammo using the combined technolgies bullet. It's a tad more accurate than the Sierra 168 load, but I's sure hate to be the department head that had to explain why his shooter not only did the perp, but blew out a major portion of his anatomical structure.
This bullet performs miserably at best on game, I can only imagine how it performs on thin skinned targets.

Are you saying the round is too powerful for LE work? I guess it could be interpreted this way, or maybe you meant that it overpenetrates.

Either way I'm glad to hear that you found it accurate. Now, I just need to find a dealer that stocks Winchester LE Ammo so I can try it out.

The combined technologies bullet fragments extremely at high velocity, such as encountered in a close range shot.
On thick skinned game it literally exploded once thru the skin, no exit wound, just a bunch of jello inside.
On thin skinned targets you get bullet diameter going in, and a basketball sized exit wound. If I absolutely wanted to knock someones peepee in the dirt, this would be the round to do it. Provided no camera crews were present, because as I said, there'd be no way to explain the effects.
