Went to work today and the house wasn't ready so we hit up 4 gun stores on the way home. Nothing really grabbed my attention except for a Remington 12 gauge single shot. They are asking $109, I could get it for $75-90. It was a well used gun, far from perfect. I don't think I'll be buying it but I am curious about them. I've never seen one before. Anyone have some information?

Depends.............. Remington made a break open single shot around 1901 (IIRC), and inported Baikal's from Russia branded with the Remington Spartan name a few years ago.
I wouln't shoot the older gun, but the Russian guns are hell-for-stout, somewhat clumsly & roughly-made, but serviceable.

Remington made the No. 3 and No. 9 Rider single barrel guns from 1893 to 1910.
These are no longer considered to be safe to shoot due to the age.
Value ranges from $65 in 10% original condition to a high of $450 in 98% condition.
