Remington model 591 5mm.

I have just bought a very nice Remington model 591 5mm rifle. The rifle has never had a scope mounted on it and I would like to put one on it. Does anyone know where I could get a scope mount for this gun? Do you know at reasonable range will this gun work for coyotes?
 
5mm Remington is about on par with a 17 HMR, not quite as flat shooting but launches a heavier bullet so it hits a bit harder. For coyotes, I would limit my shots to 100-150 yds (closer is better).

The 591 was not drilled and tapped for scope mounts, it had a grooved receiver, so it will take tip-off rings, which are available for 1" scopes, or a rimfire scope already equipped with rings.

5 years ago, this conversation would have been moot, since no one was shooting their 5mm Remington rifles due to lack of ammo, but ammo is available now. Enjoy it.
