Remington Model 24 semiautomatic 22 LR

Anyone have a manual for this gun?

It's not to be confused with the military's M-24 sniper rifle that is based on the Rem 700 action. The Rem Model 24 was designed by Browning and was out of production by the '30s.

Nope, if you do find one on pdf please send it to me as well. I have my great grandfather's Remington Model 241 which is like the 24 except it only shoots .22 shorts.

Michigan Mike. I took mine apart today to clean it and scrape off the rust. It's a doozy to reassemble.

If the magazine tube is loosened, the stock will become loose and wobble.

I'm sure you know the gun is take-down gun. The knob ahead of the barrel is loosened to allow the barrel to be rotated and slipped off the gun.

I'll have to wait another day before I take it down completely. I've yet to remove the bolt or the trigger group to clean those.

Edited to add:

found it thanks to a member at THR. http://http://stevespages.com/pdf/remington_24.pdf
