Remington Model 17 needs repair

I was given a Rem. mod 17 20ga pump. Worked fine for years but recently my grandson used it. Went to use it and apparently the internl hammer spring (and perhaps other parts) are missing. Any suggestions as to who may be competent to repair it?

Thanks for any help you may offer. Love the gun and it is great for my adolesent grandkids!
 
A gunsmith should be able to. Another option is call Remington. They likely can repair it if you send it to them, but I would call and talk to them before sending it.

the owner is former engineer for Ithaca gun of NY. See if he might take a look or can refer to more experience smith of the M17.
