Remington Model 11

I have Remington Model 11, 12 gauge that fires and chambers the next round, but will not fire it until you manually push the trigger forward slightly and then it will fire and chamber the next round, but you have to do it all over again. I have taken the gun apart and cleaned and lubricated it. Any help would be appreciated.

It sound like you need to detail the Model 11..

may have gunk/crud impeding the trigger fron re-setting. Or you may have a broken part.

Are you comfortable taking it down or take it to a gunsmith.

The model 11 is a variant of the Browning A5 of that time period.

Look at, wwwshotgunworld.com for more info.

I think you should take it to a gunsmith Auto5/Rem 11 aren't that easy to work on without the right tools and experience.

Model 11

Certainly, your first remedy is a good cleaning. A gunsmith's attention is probably needed. Sounds like you need a new spring somewhere. If the Model 11 is exactly like the Browning auto-5, be sure the friction ring is in the right place for the loads you're shooting.
