I'm interested in the real-world experiences and performance characteristics with Remington's 165 gr JHP CORE-LOKT ammunition (357MA). Supposedly, it's design is similar in some respects to their same-named rifle ammo. Ballistics appear to be at the top of the heap, particularly versus the Remington heavy end of the scale, 180 & 158 gr loads.
My application is personal and livestock protection from bobcat, CA mountain lion, and of course, BGs. Are the flash and recoil too much for defensive purposes? I would use it in 6" barrel, S&W Models 27 & 586.
Thanks for all comments.
