You picked up a blurry silver blob?

Cool! ;)

If you're using a camera, as opposed to a cell phone, see if the camera has a macro setting on it. This will allow you to get closer photographs that are still in focus.

Nice new aquisition there chief.

Note for a better picture make sure the camera is absolutlely still for at least 2 seconds after you click the shutter. It will be whole lot clearer Also put a couple of pennys close to what you are taking a picture for some odd reason it will cut down on the glare

Nice! My father has one just like it, and I tracked down some 100 year old ammo at a gun show and paid $8 for four bullets. Haven't fired it yet, but my dad got it back in the 60's , it can wait a bit longer to go to the range.

What did you pay for it?

Before firing (or buying) one of those guns, check the hinge joint very carefully as many of them are cracked and that reduces the value of the gun considerably. Because the frames are cast iron, it is just about impossible to weld the joint (or at least I have never seen one that was welded and looked right) and most fixes involve brazing with big blobs of brass.

The cracked hinges are NOT due to firing the gun but to flipping it open when the momentum of the heavy barrel block breaks the hinge.
