I saw in a magazine at my local book store, the Remington ACR. I thought only bushmaster made the ACR. Was I wrong? Any info?

I "think" the magazine that you saw is correct in that the company (Freedom Group) that owns Remington also own Bushmaster as well as Marlin, DPMS Panther Arms, Advanced Armament Corporation. The Freedom Group is a subsidiary of and is owned by Cerberus Capital Management that also own wholly or shares in a truck load of other companies. You can check out what they own here (it's a real eye opener)

As for the Bushmaster ACR, I will beat that there was alot of ****** people when Magpul sold the design of the Masada (ACR) to Bushmaster and the rifle almost doubled in price and went from an 1 year ETA (to the public) to 2.5 plus years.

remington isn't showing any form of advertising on their website. that I know of the ACR is still just made by bushmaster.

EDIT: ok I found it, it is on their military sales website. news to me. I would venture a guess that it is still made by bushmaster. much like the remington AR15/10s are just DPMS that have been restamped for remington. if I did get an ACR I would get it from bushmaster and cut out the middleman and save a few dollars

Fullboar, that is an eye opener and I enjoyed that little y-tube clip. (LOL) Looks like I will have to sell my Bushmasters and get some AK-47s, at least you know when the Ruskies are trying to screw you, same can't be said for the blood sucking american companies. Remington and the rest can kiss my back end.

Thanks
Jim
