Remington 870

Got a Rem 870 Turkey/Deer combo with the cantileaver barrel in camo synthetic. It came with the extended xfull turkey tube. I'm looking for a choke tube for this short barrel that would work on Geese. Mainly passing geese. I would like to stick with Remington chokes is possible due to a $25 credit I have from them for buying the gun. I believe from their website they make steel shot choke tubes and also a timber, over decoy, pass extended tubes as well.

I was not sure what patterned well with this short barrel.

Pointer I hear ya on the closer shots, but the area I hunt if very public and the geese learn fast and fly high. They are use to getting shot at day after day. I was thinking the turkey chock was to tight since steel shot seems to be one choke lower than lead shot out of the same choke.
 
i use the 3.5" turkey 23in barrel with bb shot and the full choke marked steel or lead from remington.

i have no probs. with this combo and have killed geese with it.

i've used black cloud and sportsman stell bb's.

Pretty sure that the Rem extended turkey chokes are all marked "lead shot only"

Rem does not use hardened steel in their choke tubes. If you shoot steel or space metal, which may be harder than the tube, you risk damaging a tube, or worse, sticking a tube in the bbl, and damaging the bbl (threads) when you try to remove it.
 
So what choke tubes are recommended for Modified steel tube for the 870's that pattern well? I Dont want to get into $80 for a pattermaster or such.....I see Primos makes some Pass, Over decory, etc but not sure how good they are.......got a gift card from Cabelas for Christmas coming so looking at that direction.
